Thithi is the lunar marker of an ancestor’s death anniversary. Rameswaram Thithi poojai is the observance performed while the family is in Rameswaram, or arranged in their name when presence is discussed with the priest.
What is Thithi pooja?
The pooja is the ceremonial part of that anniversary: sankalpam, offerings, and the rites your family includes. It is a pithru observance, not a festival pooja for a deity unless you add one.
Importance of family tradition

General procedure
